Congrats Nugget!
The car looks great
I was going through a similar phase for a .1 GT3, I ended up buying Izzone's 07 Silver GT3. Took her to the track (Sebring) last Saturday and had a blast!
GT3s are infectious

This is sort of a resurrected thread but I guess this is a great opportunity to post an update.
(previous update from this time last year)
I've had the car for nineteen months now and I've put 21,502 miles on it (1,132/month). Of those, 4,786 miles have been on the track (22%). The odometer just crossed over 26,000 coming home from MSR Houston on Sunday. I still keep meticulous stats over at my web site.
The car isn't actually looking great right now -- I've had three track weekends in a row and it's covered in grime and bits of tire and the front spoiler lip is badly gouged and has needed replacing for months. Six of the next eight weekends have events lined up, so it probably won't get a wash or anything until June.
As far as upgrades go, I really haven't been motivated to do much. I retrofitted the '10 rear brake cooling ducts (made a big difference, I highly recommend it). I put goofy orange stickers on the back. I also added camber plates up front so I could dial in more negative camber. I bought a set of 18" wheels for the track. That's really about it. 2011 will probably see some big spending with sport bucket seats, harnesses, and the clubsport rear cage. I'm not quite ready to spend that money, yet. Oh, and I went to permanent number decals for the car this month. So I'm decked out in silly orange "42" livery all the time now, even when I'm just driving to work or the grocery store.
The car has been an absolute joy. It's still my daily driver and I take it out to the track every chance I get. The interior alcantera is holding up mostly well. The interior is a symphony of rattles and squeaks, though, especially when it's cold out. I blame Houston roads, not the track time. Westheimer is way more damaging to the car than TWS is. I'm certain that would be less of an issue if I weren't daily driving it.
Also in the last nineteen months I've moved from the advanced run group to instructing for several of the area clubs, which has been even more gratifying than I was expecting.

Every day I feel lucky to be able to own this car and drive it like it was built to be driven. I genuinely can't imagine what else I'd want to own if I didn't have a GT3.
