that was my bar. if you dont need a full cage, this is THE best roll bar period.
it's $2800 new. this price is a no brainer.

Bar weighs 63 lbs. I had it painted RS Orange (Pure Orange). Honestly, best rollbar for a 996 GT3, 997 GT3 RS, 997 GT3 Mk2, 997 GT2, so strong that it takes a good shop to install it or remove it, this thing doesn't flex at all. The Porsche Tequipment is quite flexible (better than nothing though), the OEM RS rollbar is noisy, as it is built with multiple bolted pieces, you can make it quiet with washers and locking bolts, but that comes at a cost (more labor).

The Schroth harnesses are more expensive than the asking price for this rollbar.

Why?? Just have it shipped in bubble wrap. Who cares if the finish gets banged up, it's not like you're going to put an orange bar in a white car....... Have it powdercoated in white and you'll be set. Bar is cheaper than most used tech bars. No brainer to me either.

Was told that only TC Design should install the bar as it requires welding mounting plates onto the chassis and such...

Not something you should attempt but any reputable race shop on the east coast will be able to. I'm sure someone like Daniel Jacob at hairy dog garage will be more than qualified. Don't miss out on such a deal.

an experienced shop will be able to figure out how to install it.
you have to weld plates to tub, as to where to weld the plate they need to prefit the bar to figure out exact location of the bar legs.

the bar has an "X" cross bar in main hoop as well as b/n the rear kickers. you need some sort of expanding rod to push them just far enough to connect the main hoop to the rear kickers.

it's hard to explain, but simply put, if they shop you take it to cannot figure it out, they are not a competent shop.
