Default Ride height for track

Gents,

I had my car aligned yesterday and had them adjust the ride height. The car is now sitting at:

96 mm front and
121 mm rear

the car is delivered 108 / 133 from the factory. The new 3 runs 102 / 137, so it has more rake.

What heights are you running your cars? Is there such a thing as too low? I have already installed dog bone, bump steer kit and metal bushings.

Lastly, how important is corner balancing? I am now off 100 lbs left to right on the front end. Z

Yes, there is such thing as too low for the track.

Yes porsche's should be lower in the front than the back

The measurement points as described by my mechanic are:

"On the front Porsche states to use the bolt head that secures the front transverse arm to the underbody. In the rear we use the small hole located between the camber and toe ecentrics.

It's kinda hard to describe it but basically there is a cut out in the underbody trim for a bolt head to stick through, use that and in the rear use the flat area between the ecentrics where there is a hole."

At what point is the car too low? What dynamic changes on the track will occur? Obviously, lowering the center of gravity is good, so where do you cross the line and what then causes the detrimental changes in handling?

All depends on the car's setup/suspension modifications especially shocks.. Going to low on a stock setup, Bilsteins, etc can cause the shock to hit the bump stop and throw off the whole cars rebound/dampening making it bouncy and worse handling wise then stock! I had this happen with my ex 996TT with 2 sets of coilovers and it being too low..
