Default GT3 AVAILABILITY

How many of you would buy a 2010 GT3 right now if one became available. I am asking because I am curious if Porsche sometimes misses the boat on building more than what they offer

I don't see an issue with availability on the GT3 mk II. I've got an allocation with one dealership, while another dealership just called to tell me they have two GT3s that just arrived and need to be sold. Amazing how the economy changes things ...

Mainline Porsche has two in stock.....

610-886-1000 ask for Eric.

No affiliation, just passing the word in case someone wants one and can't find one.

Yeah, not sure what "if one became available" is supposed to mean. Every dealership I'm in contact with has allocations available and either inbound or in stock GT3s they need to unload.

Yes, Erik at Mainline Porsche is a great guy, and that's one of my favorite Porsche dealers- they really are into the cars, not only the sales.

There is also a black/black leather GT3 that just arrived at Bluegrass Porsche in Kentucky and needs a home. Ask for Brendon. I believe he is asking the MSRP at $126K.

The real question is how many order allocations are available versus pre-specced cars? This is no different than what happened with the 07'. When the first launch cars came in, I had a chance to buy one at 2 different dealers when they first arrived off the truck. I didn't really want one at that time, so I passed. It seems that a lot of people who are in line change their mind when the car that has their name on it isn't the right color or does not have the options they would really want. A year later, I contacted a total of 22 dealers to order one and was told no by everyone. I am just curious if there are any order allocations left or if these are only the pre-specced cars?

I got contacted by my dealer today that he has one coming that is not spoken for as the first buyer in line backed out. Now, whoever shows up to pay first gets it. It has $10K of cr*p I don't want and lacks the options I do (sport buckets, dynamic engine mounts). No chance I would give up my November build to get something instead that isn't what I want.

I also don't understand the comment that every dealer has cars or allocations available. Small dealers get none. Of the 3 dealers here, one does not have any allocations and the other 2 had all their allocations spoken for by the end of the first week the allocations were released. For orders to the factory, the October builds are starting to get locked in now. I have the latest and only allocation at my dealer that is not locked in since it is a late November build. I have until October 1 to make any final changes before my order gets locked in at the factory.
