Best video camera?
Hi guys
For trackday day video i run a sony bullet camera to a Canon MVX5 for analogue -to-digital conversion and storage. Unfortunately the Canon has broken again (nothing to do with the track!).
Asking at the local vidcam store newer camera are less likely to have the composite vid inputs or convert from analogue to digital! I don't want to waste $$ on a new highend video camera unless i have to
So
what capture devices/systems are you using?
With HDD recorders do they jump with the jarr of a track bump? One "expert" put this forward as a reason to stick to tapes rather than HDD
Thanks in advance for you input
Cheers

Drifting
The AIPTEK cameras work well for the money. Get the latest one which has a jack for external mic. If you record it in 60fps, it reduces that rolling scenery effect that most cameras have.

Just literally arrived today at mine!!!

I am curious about this too. I am looking for another camera I can mount on my IO Port mount on my Techequipe rollbar. My JVC mini-DV camera is starting to cut out when recording and I am looking for something to replace it with. I am thinking about get a Sony HD hard disk wide format with their steady shot lens stabilization. Anyone have experience with these or something else to recommend?
