Default Estoril blue??

Hey,

I have mentioned that I have a RS on order/deposit/#1 on list whatever.

I was wondering if estoril blue (BMW E36 M3) has ever been available on a P car as PTS? I found this pic on some site but don't know if it was photochopped

I was also thinking of ordering a e92M3 in that color. But BMW individual doesn't list it as an option. My first m3 (of like 5) was estoril and I miss it. I am not buying another e36.

As you may have guessed, i'm trying to justify keeping the RS I have on order. before you ask. yes I have been drinking.

there have been so many blue porsches, but the only factory cool blue color I remember was the Azzuro Blue that the "club coupe" 997s came in...very similar to that color

Porsche offered it in the last couple years.

BMW will no longer paint a car in Estoril.

That hasn't been photoshopped.... Saw it on our local P website. It was a Porsche by design offering in the 997.1 range a couple years ago as mentioned above... Carrera S, aerokit, black wheels, blah blah blah... Not sure if it has been offered as PTS however...

Va yes you are correct that picture was on Porsche's customization site as being "estoril" so it is (or at least was) available. The 996 RGT at Ruf is Estoril as well.

My favorite blue, even if it started out life on a bmw, audi, dodge, whatever.

I'm with CJ regarding the Azzuro Blue Metallic on the 997.1 Club Coupes. Wish Porsche offered that color as a standard metallic choice. The TT above looks like Minerva Blue...?

I'm in trouble! I just read excellence and the new "standard" gt3 is faster then the scuderia on the ring!

Looks like I'm waiting on the Scud if the new RS is faster and half the price.

I guess I'm keeping the RS...even though it may mean a divorce. Especially if I can get Estoril blue.

Minerva is lovely too, I saw the 6-gt3 in minerva and I wet my pants.

Hey va122, the file on the porsche servers is gone unfortunately as it was a 997 mkI offering. I did find the following couple of links that have all the pictures shown at the time including the cool interior (NOT!). The color looks great....

http://www.euroteknik.com/forum/gene...-metallic.html

And about half way down the page on:

Cheers
