^ my DD is a E90 328i auto. but i now find it too "sporty" lol.
i now drive my wife's lexus RS350. love the boat ride. spilling coffee every where.

for some reason i just dont like GT2. it's a very fast and capable car. but i dont get a rise over it. i dont know why. same goes with 993TT or 993TTS. but i do like the 930.

Auto? Ick.

930 . . . interesting. What about one of these Ruf monsters, like the 2WD RT12?

Mercedes dropping price of new E-class by over $4k. Bear in mind that German's will benefit from better exchange rate and lower raw materials costs on Gen2 verses Gen1 997 GT3, so margins will be even higher than already industry-leading levels.

Originally I was told by 2 of 3 dealers in town that the cars would go for market price above MSRP. The third said I had no chance of even buying one a year in advance.

Magically, I have a june/july build date from one of the two dealers at MSRP.. amazing how the market changes on them.

I'm told those much-vaunted Ferrari waiting lists are suddenly becoming a thing of the past as well. Nothing like a dose of economic reality to throw cold water on unscrupulous dealer's greed-fest.

I will never buy a car - any car, ever - from a dealer that attempts to sell above MSRP.

I love RUFs stuff. Its cool to buy second hand. The problem with RUF is NEW its impossibly expensive.
I am just going off the top of my Head, but it seems to me the price is twice is much for a slight improvement (compared to the price diff). Its a stupendous increase for a modest performance improvement and its for stuff we can do. Like the SUPER DUPER RUF suspension is Bilsteen PSS10'
Most of us can do that. The RUF Super Dooper RUF performance seat is the 996 GT3 seat. We can do
that AND break the windshield, at least I can. The integrated roll bar is great. But THEN their is a cool motor hop up and some kind of exhaust upgrade. The Product is something most of us can approach and spend 25 % of the RUF package. We wont come close to the motor upgrade you get but still maybe we could get 70% of that with 25% I am guessing. The other thing is the paint and the interior schemes are wild. Like a black and white herring bone pattern on the GT3 seats with a riviera blue exterior. Very VDub scirrocco. I dont know if I want a $230K VW Scirrocco

I'm on exactly the same page as you OG. I think, for example, that the RGT is ridiculous (in a good way), but I think it lists for $258k new, and is essentially a MK2 GT3 with some new suspension bits, a cool bodykit, and the integrated cage. Plus, the interior, well...

There's a lot more to RUF than meets the eye, especially with the older cars such as the RUF Turbo R. The Bilstein PSS9/10's that RUF uses are valved to their specs and ride very different than the regular PSS9/10's you buy off the street. I think RUF's really come into their own when you look at their turbo car offerings.

Well here's how the 2010 Gt3 market is going for my early Allocation:
1. No Painted Wheels
2. No center lock Wheels
3. No DE Mounts
4. No Lift Kit
5. No dials in Carrera White
NO DISCOUNT FOR THESE OPTIONS NOT BEING AVAILABLE!!!!! LOL as the guy on 6Speed said, this may be the 997.1.2 Gt3
I was wondering why it was so easy to get an early allocation. I have a small dealership, and this may be my only chance for a GT3, and I can't eve get what I want. I may have to bail.
