Now that is funny. Very true, but funny.

I believe that stuff is a test for potential buyers. If you puke, then you are not in the Vette target market group.

BTW, checked the depreciation on an '04 Limited Edition Z06? Those cars were going for $10k+ over MSRP at purchase! LMAO.

Paul I know u
So I will now pull over on I5 and scream
At u with my iPhone.

Corvette are great cars. And properly modded, it's faster than gt3. But at that point, it's not cheaper than gt3

I bet with u, if u get corv u will sell and buy p soon. Why ?
1 u drive a BMW and amg but u are on RL
2 u ask p car nuts about corvette what do u expect to hear?
3 I like amg a lot and u waved lyric over it when u bought it. But u want to dump it now.
4 u bought z4 bc it's cheaper than
My gsyman. But I font hear u say goodthings about it other than it's cheaper than cayman.

The fact u
Had to ask about corvette tells me u don't LOVE it.
Finally there is no limited edition items. Every watch I own is LE. But there will always be the next LE. Now if GM shuts down chevroket
Tomorrow then yes, I will buy that last corvette. But I don't think Chevys going down just yet.

I could have got u a white 7 gt3 for 80.
U can find then 85 easy. So u would have MADE money in ur gt3 transaction.

996TT are 60

Ok done screaming. Be go find a Porsche. See u at BW end of may.

Paul, if you are a Porsche fanatic... stick with the GT3, you will never be satisfied with the Vette.

Z06's aren't as well fitted out... and that explains the lower price.

Bang for the Buck... it's hard to beat the Z06.

The Z06 really is a comfortable daily driver and with a few mods,

performs well @ the track.

The Z06 needs:

Corner balance & Alignment

two piece after-market front brake rotors

stainless steel brake lines

Harness bar

An extra set of wheels (18 inch C5 Z06's work well) and Dot R tires

Single piece racing brake pads are available from at least two sources.

Reliability with a "Stock" Z06 is good and parts are reasonably cheap.

So far, GM's stood behind their warranty as long as you don't re-program the ECU/PCM.

A lot of "instructors" are driving Z06's... and we push these cars pretty hard.

Paul, I went and drove the Lotus today. I've also driven a Z06. I also sat in a new turbo today. All I could think about was my RS and the exhaust note. Nothing else will get you going like the GT3. Nothing else feels as planted at the GT3. I'm ruined. Big mistake selling it.

What I always expect and get from you all.... the truth.

Here is the only reason I thinking about. I have never driven one. I am going to
tomorrow. Its an orange one so that gaurantees I wont buy that one. and they only
have one. So then I can eliminate it from my mind.

I dont have the hots for the Skull version. I would only buy one if I can get
the 85K version for 70K or less. Otherwise we wait on the TT.

Paul:

From one bad back guy to another, or in your case former bad back guy. I have had several C6 Corvettes and the one single reason I go rid of my '08 is THE SEATS. They are short from hip to knee and offer little or no side bolstering for leg ( translate to lower back ) support nor are the seat back well bolstered. The run flat tires are great for peace of mind on trips but not very sticky. I too miss my GT3 but am finding the '09 C2S to be quite a car. The adaptive sport seats give plenty of support and the PDK eliminates the clutch and thus pushing with the left leg which causes the lower spine to slightly rotate and irritate the sciatic nerve. Now a Turbo with PDK WOW . The other serious question un-answered is will GM continue to produce the Corvette under the new Obama management. Good luck on the search and glad to hear your back is feeling well enough to start car looking.

Paul, there is a certain caché that comes with being a 'Vette driver. That caché is not associated with Porsche drivers - theirs is another type ... a good type, a type that does not bring shame to you or the CEO.
The Corvette caché is not an entirely positive thing.
No snobbery intended.
Then you have the factory trained specialist, who's never seen a Vega he couldn't fix.
I'd buy a thrashed GT3 first.

F4 I know what you are saying

DFW I know what you are saying too, no gold chains or big hairy chest. But they are starting to get mechanically good enough that I must at least consider the car.

The NEW 08 Z06's with the 3LZ package are going for the low 60' so now its getting into my family sedan price. I have now some VERY big bargaining chips if I wanted to buy a new vette
