BAD caliper???

I had the same thing happen to my car, I am battling with PCNA - we should chat because I consider this a defect. Have to replace 4 pads.

The cause is supposedly the fan in front of this pad which doesnt make a lot of sense.

I just re-read your post. For me the outside pad wears fine and it is the inside pad that is 'defective'.

I was told that since I track the car, this is was creates this issue, but I have never seen it on my previous 2 911's (they were not gt3's)

As weird as it sounds this is NORMAL wear for STREET pads on the track.
Per the Technical Field Rep, heat is the major cause for uneven pad wear, pad cracking, etc. Right Side will show more due to the radiator cooling fan on the right side.
To eliminate the issue use "Race Pads"

Attached is the Pad TSB

Heat is not the cause of the uneven pad wear you show here. Heat exacerbates and accelerates the wear, making the unevenness more pronounced. But the leading edge of the brake pad will always wear down first - that's due simply to the mechanics of rotor/caliper braking. Heat only exacerbates the wear. Like I said, you'll find the opposite condition on your rear pads where the leading edge is on top.
