Giro Rotors
Could those of you using the 2-piece Giro Disc give me some feed back? I'm about to mount these rotors on the front of my 997 GT3. I used to run pagid yellow all around, but now I find that the car is much better balanced with either black front and yellow rear, or just black pagid front and rear. I'm coming from another manufacturer 2-piece rotors that gave me great wear (22 track days).
Do I expect similar wear from the Giro? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

So, the question is, how much more money are PF on all four corners compared to the Giro disc on all four corners??

They are thin spacers like a backing plate you put between the back of the pad and the pistons on the caliper. they are supposed to help keep heat out of the caliper based on that Titanium does not tranfer heat like aluminum and steel does.
I have a stock street 2009 Carrera S and lack race car type of cooling so I am thinking of trying these myself.

Also I got prices for Performance Friction 2pc slotted rotors for my 2009 Carrera S.
$1114 for the fronts and $330.47 per disc for the replacements. I was quoted $1200 for the Girodisc...so the Performance Friction is less money.
I only do DE's but I am trying to see if expensive rotors like these are worth it for street/DE application. I do around 10-15 DE days a year and 1 set of $320 stock Porsche rotors last me the 10-12 DE days.
The Performance Friction/Girodisc rotors are 4 times as much...will I get more than 4 times the wear from these expensive rotors? I do not think so as I have been told (depends on the track and how hard you brake) that you should get around 20 DE days. So the way I figure it in 2 years I would need to replace the front discs from Performance Friction/Girodisc...I would have spent around $1900 for the discs and the replacement discs for the fronts. In 2 years of DE's I would go through 2 sets...maybe 3 sets of front rotors at a cost of $900 fro 3 sets.
Am I figuring this out correctly? I just cannot see the justification to go with Performance Friction/Giro disc front rotors...other than they look cool and might offer some better braking...but how much?
