Wouldn't want the multi-holed AND slotted rotors on my car, FWTW.

Shoot me a note if you'd like more information of these setups for the 996/997/Cayman/Boxster model range.

Data point: The Girodiscs are approximately * $1,000 less* than the PFC units. That's huge.

The OEM discs are rather soft, and in my opinion it is a mistake for Porsche to continue offering holed rotors.

Virtually NO race teams uses holed rotors, as they simply crack and groove like crazy – indeed they 'crack out' and 'groove out' FAR before they wear out.

The Girodiscs are approx $300 for each replacement disc, so this setup simply makes even more sense.

And when the COMPLETE COST is LESS than $600 per corner.......'value city' on a great product.

*These discs are on their 3rd season of Grand Am competition so they are a proven commodity on the race track as well and is the ideal blend of decent price and top performance*

PORSCHE 997 GT3 ROTOR PACKAGES:

SIZE:
Front: Factory 350 mm/GiroDisc 350 mm
Rear: Factory 350 mm/GiroDisc 350 mm

WEIGHT:
Front: Factory 25.6 lbs./GiroDisc 22.4 lbs. slotted
Rear: Factory 22.1 lbs./GiroDisc 18.2 lbs. slotted

Shoot me a note for some special pricing on these setups - approx $1000 LESS than the PFC.

Craig,

I'd appreciate it if you can clear up the misinformation you've posted here regarding the PFC replacement disk option for the 996/997 GT3.

The PFC front disc assembly lists for $598.51 ea., while our price is $508.73 ea. as clearly posted elsewhere on this site. The replacement discs are $286.43. This actually makes the PFC option LESS EXPENSIVE in all regards than what you are representing, unless of course your disc can outlast it. I'm not sure how you can say you have an option "$1,000 less" than that!

I am sure this was just an oversight on your part. We have, however done our best to let the product we represent speak for itself here, and kindly ask that you try and do the same if it means avoiding situations like this.

For the record, the PFC front discs weigh 21 lbs. ea., making it the lightest option we are aware of.

As for Grand Am, PFC discs are clearly the popular choice of Grand Am competitors, having won multiple Rolex and Koni Championships, including both reigning, and the 24 Hours of Daytona three years in a row.

Anyway, a correction would be greatly appreciated, and I appoligize to the members for the wasted bandwidth.

Peace

You spam an ad into this discussion and quote 350mm Iron replacements, touting them to be "$1000.00 less" than PFC. I nicely ask you to correct this by pointing out the facts in terms of PFC's equivilent 350mm iron replacement. You then put up a link to a proposed 380mm PCCB replacement?

Again, can you kindly retract your false statements so we can move on? Thanks!

Good God man, give it a rest. Forget the price thing, toos it out. Look at your approach however:

Spam? That's a bunch of poppycock. Take a look at your posts, MB.
You interject your diatribe of PFC greatness right above, right here in this post - Spam, Michael, by your very definition.

And I, unike you, actually am a vendor of the prduct we are discusing here.
The troll the forums & attack / ambush approach doesn't work.

How professional.

We posted to this thread soley to protect the product from your false statements, and it's clear your unwilling to correct them so I guess we'll just assume it was done intentionally.

Again, we appologize to the members for the unnecessary bandwidth here. I'm sure by now folks understand the true facts.

Cheers
