Default Need a measurement for ramps please

Hi
I am going to order some custom ramps from race ramps.com for my new trailer. The car is in the shop and I won't back back over there for a few days. Would someone mind measuring their car as outlined below...

I need the vertical distance from the ground at the elevated end of the yard stick (or what ever you use that is 36" long) so I can get the length of the ramps correct. Have the yard stick just touch the bottom of the front spoiler. I will build a little cushion into the measurements that I order so please give me exact. Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!!!

Hey, can't measure the height for you as I don't have a 997 gt3 yet but I know that the maximum approach angle for the 997 gt3 per Porsche specs is 5.6 degrees (based on standard suspension height settings) and therefore a 36" yardstick would hypothetically sit 8.92cm or 3.5" off the ground...

Sin 5.6o= O/91.4 (calculation in centimetres)
O= sin5.6o x 91.4
O= 8.92 cm or 3.5"

Hope this helps you....

Chris

Assume very low. Thank god you have a 38' trailer. You'll need 35' ramps to get up on it now.

If I give the fuel canisters 3' that will leave 35' for the ramps on the trailer. Sweet.
Good thing I had that new hitch installed on the Jimmy...

Wouldn't the measurements of others only be valid if they were at similar ride heights with the same nose piece/s?

A tad over 4" on a stock GT3 RS, with corded A6s on the front This will change a lot if you get a full width ramp because the center projects a lot further than where the wheels are.
I built my ramp extensions a bit different than most people. Ramp goes from 0 to 3.5" in the first 12 inches and then level for the next 3 feet. Another 3.5" jump and level for the next 4 feet. Featherlight ramps sit on that. This allows me to stop and check alignment without even engaging the parking brake. Also makes it easy on the clutch to get going again.

I bought the TR-5 and I'm returning them. They're perfect, but they are too long to be stored in the SUV. I'm getting a custom set with the same dimensions as the TR-5, but cut in half and just a little longer (6' instead of 67"), same dimensions on everything else.

And the TR 5s work just fine in terms of not scraping the front lip while approaching the ramp?

Thanks for the post.

If they are new just ship them to me. I will buy them.

The TR-5 cleared my GT3 RS and my super lowered Boxster BSR. The custom set I ordered costs close to $500, but worth it as these ramps are something of a new level.

They're very light for their size.

The only problem I have with them is that they're 67" long, and I use an open trailer, so I have to carry them inside the SUV, and the SUV has a small trunk, so I have to drop both row of seats. I cannot open the rear hatch with the trailer hooked, so floor jack, tires,tools need to be accessed through the rear doors.

Just place an order on-line, it's easy. I have to keep these ones until the new ones arrive, and then return them for a full refund minus shipping.
