"I wanted to let everyone know that I can order you a 2009 GT3. Porsche is only going to bring in 143 to all of North America for 2009. We are getting one which you can build for a June/July delivery.

Demand is going to be crazy for this car already fetching 100K over MSRP in New York.

We are going to be asking over MSRP on this car more than likely about 25K over MSRP which would push the car to around 140K. Please pass this around to anyone you guys might know who has interest.

Thank you"
He's still partying like it is 2007....

Anybody paying over MSRP in this market is nuts. My dealer just called me yesterday to offer me a June build car for MSRP.

I think they should initiate drug testing at Michael Stead.

If there are only 143 for NA, then it suggests that the RS when announced will be about 60 cars.

143 is a load of crap. Porsche will make as many cars as demanded. Maybe the initial run.

I just read in panorama that the carerra moniker will be dropped and replaced with 911S and 911RS. Now do you still think that Porsche cares about the "RS" name or is about selling whatever they can for as much as they can.

^I can't believe they would use RS for a regular Carrera S. RS should be reserved for very special cars.

Wow, some people have *****. Anyone paying over MSRP for anything closely related to automobiles in todays market should be waterboarded.

I agree with Victor, how many times are you going to be told that "Only 143 will be coming to NA" only to have that number swell up to as many as Porsche can sell before demand drops off? It happens with every special car they make.

The badge placement of "RS" on a regular Carrera is just another example of Porsche going the way of BMW when they started to water down their "M" line of cars. Now M is closer to Lexus than what it was originally supposed to be including BMW now making their SUVs into "M" cars.

Thanks, but I'll stick to my 5 year old 996 GT3

I was also offered a 2010 GT3 build order, and if anyone is seriously interested please pm me. I am not looking to make any money on the deal and I have no affiliation with the dealership, just trying to see that the car goes to someone that would enjoy it the way it was intended.

anyways, that's just wrong. i think not many seasoned GT3 buyers will pay over msrp for the next GT3. in fact, i won't buy one unless it's 20% off. and they way they made it sound... i guess i will have to slum a while with my vintage GT3.
