Even airplanes today with CRT or LCD screens use a black background.
Thanks folks, that's why I like this place, always learn something useful.

White is cool, but the standard black/grey one will be more comfortable to my eyes.

The standard gauges on my 2007 GT3 work just fine IMO.

Speedo is so small as to be relatively useless but I'm sure you knew that. Digital speedo is a nice
feature though.

I'm interested to see what the speedometer error on the new GT3 will be. Mine reads very optimistic compared to my 928GT which is very accurate.

Have fun spec'ing it!

Thanks, I have found the GT3/RS gauges are quite special, the centre one is in grey color and the other four are in black.

Best I ever had were from Porsche's Exklusiv Department that were Dove Grey in the daytime and black at night. Very cool, '96 911 Turbo.

Any pics in WHITE or YELLOW?
i never really look at the instrument.
just keep the throttle open.
when oil is low, you will low, b/c the motor will blow up ;-)
i know that from blowing up m3 motors 2x.

one time my coolant gauge was way up and smoke from engine (bmw) i thought, wtf, kept driving and warped heads. oh well. so much for instrumentation.

Red is OK, it goes with the calipers and the red 3 and 6 point seatbelts.
I bought the car used and I would have ordered black, but red is clear to read and it does not bother me.

No pealing yet :-)
