The Bar is being pulled @ WERKS II in California. (It will be shipped from california)

It was originally Mooty's bar, then NJ-GT.

The bar was custom fabricated with the GT3 present (TC Design supposedly will not build a bar with out the car being present. This in itself makes the the TC bar unique)

As far as roll bars go, the DAS,GMG and TC Design are all built along the same guidelines.

The ONLY reason why im pulling the bar from the RS is due to the requirement of full cage needed for Targa Newfoundland. (Im installing a full cage in the RS)

This bar will fit the following:

996 GT3,GT2
997,GT3 sunroof or non sunroof,GT3RS,GT2

OT: Curious how WERKS II was selected with all of the other Porsche guys available in the SoCal area. I've never used them myself just because they aren't the most convienent, but would love a positive reference/story. PM me if you feel more comfortable. Thanks!

Mooty will explain in much better detail but in short, TC is the best no compromise bar. Both GMG and DAS have their weak points. GMG is a bolt in solution that mounts to the 4 seat belt points causing pressure to be in sheer rather then compression (although with mine the bar also mounts to the rear shock towers). The DAS bar has no cross member in the main hoop and the rear kickers dont attach to the axial joints in the main hoop causing more stress to be exerted on the already "flawed" main hoop.

Bottom line, if you dont mind cutting your carpets, you want the TC bar.

goto tcdesignfab.com and the home page has an RS with bar, that's my/rad/tcs racing's car.
every bar has compromises, but i find TCD's has the least compromise and the best look, fit and finish.
however, IIRC, the bar i had in the car was touching the headliner. so not so sure it will fit sunroof cars. maybe werks2 can take a measure.
