2010 GT3: To a/c delete or not to a/c delete
that is the question.
The a/c itself weighs 44 pounds, which may not seem much but that is just hardware. Liquid coolant weighs what - 10 or 20 pounds? So, it all adds up and I think most of it are in the engine bay!
I'm from the UK, and here we only have 2 hot months per year, so not really worth having a/c, is there? I really want to spec a lightest possible GT3.
However, some UK guys have said that a/c delete will kill resale value, so I don't know what should I do.

does it rain in UK? If it does (no idea) you should consider A/C. Lose the weight on wheels or PCCB or both.

I would think in the UK that A/C delete might add value. Another option is to get the A/C on the car (it's free) and remove it from the car and keep the equipment for the next owner, if resale is a big concern.

Despite your temperate climate most of the year, there will no doubt be times that you will say to yourself "damn, I wish I had AC right now." It does occasionally get pretty damn hot in southern England in the summer. I doubt that if you get aircon you will have many times where you say the opposite; i.e. "damn, I wish I didn't have AC right now."

am from UK but now in california - would get AC - if you dont you will definately have a hard time selling for sure. the weight is not going to make that much difference - look at all GT3s up for sale on pistonheads and tell me how many have AC delete.

a race car is a race car
a track car is a track car
a street car is a street car
simple, but confusing. only took me 6 years and 20+ porsche to figure it out, let along the money i threw away learning.
so what kind of car are you buying? if it's not a race car, then i would take AC. this is coming from someone who used to "commute" to office (30 min through bay bridge, that mean traffic at 5mph for 30 min) in suit and ties with wingtips in a full blown spec miata. i am not soft by any stretch of imagination.
