Yep, same old calipers that came on the 996 GT3s.... To bad. Brembo has a much better 6 piston bridged caliper that matches the bridged rear on the 7 GT3.

The 997.2 GT3 comes with 1 piece rotors and after looking at the PCCB and Cup rotors, those stantard one looks cheap.

What? According to the pic in the web special, the yellow front calipers are not bridged either.

What the dude meant is that the bell cannot be separated from the friction disc because it is pinned, no bolts. But the bell is made of aluminium. When you need to renew your rotors, you have to change the whole thing, not just the friction disc.

You mean 996 cups? Street version came with 350mm brakes, not 380mm.

That is what I meant... they are cast so despite the two materials they are still a 1 piece unit. They don't offer the functionality of a 2 piece rotor, just the weight savings of the aluminium hat... In my book, a 2-piece unit is designed to seperate...

...and, for us mere non-race team mortals -- designed IMO for savings - ie the rotor ring is replaceable, saving up to half the cost of replacement (vs. theoretically tossing the entire 2 piece away)

Another thing that should be mentioned is that the rotors (pinned) are not floating type. If you want floating brake discs you have to buy an aftermarket set or get PCCBs.
