Just realized did not answer first part of your question. Car has Toyo R888's (19 inch). Tires are almost new. Personally I prefer these over the Sports Cups. They are a little noisier on the highway, but overall they perform better and last longer. In the rain there is no contest...R888 win hands down. I found Cups to be somewhat scrary in very wet conditions.

I don't have the exact tread measurment but I'd guess at least 70% to 80% treat left and approx 6 HC on them. Consensus wear on these tires is somewhere between 25 and 30 HC depending of course on the track and ones driving style.

Somebody buy this car. It did not work out for me but not because of this perfect car. It was on my end. It would be stupid for me to get a new car with the 2010 and me making the cut for the expected allotment.

I've had a several PM inquiries from this forum since my initial posting. I really thought I had a local buyer... That assumption unfortunately setback several early PM inquiries from this forum.

For those of you who may still be interested here's the update. The price for the car with all the options described has not changed (and will not change...), its still $95K.

However I'm adding a couple of additional incentives to further sweeten the deal. I will only include these if the car is sold by February 27 :

A. Original Porsche factory sports seats with Alcantara ($2,900 option). Buyer to pay for shipping the extra seats.
B. Factory muffler
C. GMG Carbon Fiber wing I purchased from OG (never installed). This wing is valued at over $2K new

I also have some additional information that may interest particularly to the 2 to 3 people from the east coast who expressed interest:

- The sale will be handled through a local dealer.
- If the buyer wishes I will arrange (but not pay) to have the car certified and obtain an extended warranty for an additional 2 years or 100,000 miles. The cost will be $2.5K and would be paid by the buyer. That means that for $97.5K you would have a car that has over 4 years of warranty left or 100,000 miles. This should also provide additional peace of mind particularly if we happen to be located in very different parts of the country.

Last time I checked transportation to the east coast runs around $2.5K for covered transport, less for open transport which BTW I would not recommend, particularly this time of year. Other locations would likely be less...

Lastly if you are wondering why the "fire sale" I need to place my purchase order for my new daily driver soon, since my current lease is running out. Garage space is also proving to be a challenge. GT3 is in the garage, daily driver is outdoors...

If the car has not sold by Feb 27 I will take it back to stock to be sold as a trade in or on consignment and will sell off the parts seperately. Either way the opportunity goes away for folks on this forum, which would be a shame since a lot of time, money and effort went into car as seen in earlier photos.

Thanks for looking. PM me if interested or if I can answer any questions. Cheers.

Indicative that the market is really dead....

Curious to know how many would buy this car as advertised for 85k? Where is the price whereby someone acts?

Greetings,

Been off the forum for awhile...

Have to say I thought it was a real shame that nobody decided to buy my black GT3 in its fully loaded track ready condition. Anyhow I had to take it back to stock and traded it in against my next daily driver. I sold off all the goodies seperately in a package deal.

The only item I have left is a 997 GT3 GMG carbon wing blade with carbon wicker.

I bought the wing used from OG, but never installed it. Its still in the box as I received it. The wing runs around $2K new. Want to say I paid around $1,300 + shipping. I'm willing to let it go for $1,100K + Shipping or best offer. PM me if interested.

Good to see you back here nick!
Miss you at the track.
What did you end up with for the daily driver?

Hope all is well!
