Default A ride in the GT3 facelift

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cX-3F3uBrc

Enjoy...

Thought it would be a nice way to say hello to the 997 GT2/GT3 board.

As my beloved 987S got a big brother on New Years eve (997 GT3, Arctic/Black, GT2 bucket seats, Schroth harness), I may join your discussions now and then and share some of the adventures I'll enjoy with the Silverbullet.

Unfortunately the weather over here in Germany is pure torture right now - can't wait to bring the Baby to the 'Ring.

Interesting "distortion" on the car's exterior.

Just as distorted as some of the passenger's facial expressions

Yeah, I think the "tall guy" was really scared a couple of times.

Naaah, must be pure joy. I finally understand where the expression "facelift" comes from

That was cool, but it does show one flaw that I found when sitting in those same GT2 bucket seats. They are not made for people with tall torsos. Notice how one or two of the guys totally eclipse the harness pass-throughs (the belts would want to pass right through my shoulder blades) and the tall guy is almost hitting his head on the headliner (no sunroof and no helmet).

Aside the from those (otherwise wonderful) seats having the harness pass-through too low on the back, they are also mounted too high to provide sufficient headroom (with no height adjustment)...

I love that that ride. Half the experience is that "new car" smell.

Dealers still deny any knowledge of this car. : )

Sadly no PDK in that video. I guess that would be asking too much of a sneak peek.

Great find! I hope they launch the car in red, it will make my car feel like less of an outsider when all those white cars gang up on her at the track.

Any thoughts on the engine sound?? Is it gt1 like in nature for those used to listening to you cars? It sounds like it to me and I certainly hope so considering I'm wanting to buy one! Maybe even leak free if we're lucky???
