Is there a recommended pad for this particular rotor?
Looks like the URL has changed:
http://www.renn-spec.com/ProductDeta...Show=TechSpecs

There's certainly profit in $1900/pr, but at least you're getting the McLaren floating rotor hardware and saving 3lbs per rotor is a lot of flywheel mass. I guess you could justify it by putting the stock rotors in a box and keeping them for resale of the car.

Funny that they show fitment for the 996 Turbo with the small caveat of a caliper upgrade requirement. The site is pretty empty and Rennspec doesn't seem to be a Rennlist sponsor (at least they're not on this page: https://rennlist.com/sponsors.html) nor is there a rennspec user. Certainly a nice product and no harm in posting some gratuitous pics ... maybe available from your friendly, local site sponsor ... ? : ) Alex? Bob?

Do us a favor, if your going to track the car tell us how the hold up. That is about 3X the price of replacement slotted rotors, so let us know how it goes from hear. Thx.

Have any of you guys used the AP slotted rotors? Steve Weiner says they have superior metallurgic properties and they last longer than all the others he's seen. My tech, who crews for Farnbacker Lollas from time to time, has recommended AP's to me.

I used AP slotted Rotors on my RS as direct replacements for the PCCB's. Was very happy with them. Mark Francis at CDOC has the spec's on them if you are looking for some.

Default Rotors AP

I've used the AP floating rotors for the last two seasons on my 997 GT3. I have averaged 16 days per rotor set which I consider very good compared to other options. They are very consistent and don't warp or crack apart. They ultimately wear out with grooving. This rotor set up saves about 3lbs per wheel.
