How's the 997 GT3 market....

I'm guessing pretty terrible. It's all relative. I just saw a $150k Ferrari go for $100k in an "absolute" no reserve auction. I suppose in such a declining market, I'd rather be holding a 997 GT3 than a Lambo.

well at least with a gt3 you have a somewhat practical car- luggage space and realistic service intervals and prices...and you can put 30k miles on one without blinking.
gayardos are straight up rocks with nowhere to go but down. I love the looks of the superleggera and the new 560, but hell no would I own one.

If the prices of the Lambo drop significantly enough because of the economy, then "maybe" it would be a worthwhile purchase. "Significant" being the operative word.

buddy of mine just picked up a yellow 06 gallardo e-gear with 20k miles on it for approx 90k. they definitely depreciate heavy.
i drove it the other day... supple, makes great noises, has cool back-up camera thingy, heavy steering wheel, power is "ok" although the car does feel a bit heavy and you can tell it has awd. the e-gear shifting thingy is quite neat and pretty hardcore when you're redlining the puppy, those gears definitely do SLAM home esp in the "sport" mode. makes you wonder how long that tranny/clutch will last after repeated redline shifting in sport mode esp on race track. however, the downshift blip that the computer does is just incredible! i could never blip/rev match that quick in a manual shift car!
of course, i'm comparing my gallardo experience to my 996 GT3. i'll admit the lambo was in a different class when compared to my 996 GT3. it was faster in a straight line, it was nicer to drive, it felt more tight and well put together. its a lambo for crying out loud.
but it didnt wow me as much as i had thought it would. i drove it for 45 mins around town and hwy and for felt like a rockstar! people taking my picture, giving me thumbs up, girls... err, nevermind that i'm married!

I don't know about the Lambo. The prices drop like a rock. If you're well off, maybe it's no big deal. The 3-RS seems to be holding up although slipping a bit.
RPM has a white one on their website with 400 miles asking 30k over MSRP. It sure would look good next to my green one, but I have to deal with the stock market! <skip the Lambo>

I'm puzzled, though.
Why are they still asking OVER sticker pricing for the 3 and 3RS?
I thought that was done with
I sure as heck didn't get over sticker when I sold mine.
