There will be an RS and the centre locking wheels will be standard.

So, now that you're an insider and have seen the "future", did you get down on your knees and look under a 997 GT3.2 and confirm GT1 or A91 block ????

Just a lot of speculation guys. There is NO official word on a GT3 or especially a new RS. Even if they make more cars of this nature, US spec cars are harder to come by because of our ever-increasing safety regulations. At best, I would expect a 998 version GT3 in the future.

yawn.....sounds like Porsche is turning into the rebadge King....

Let's look at the track record...

The 997 Targa you shouldn't even call a Targa, it is nothing like the mid 80's one....honesly can we really expect anything different about this "new" Speedster? I doubt it.

You really have to hand it to them...the entire 911 line sucking on the same t*t...and charging more for each successive (and really the same) model..see C2, C2S, C4, C4s, C2 cab, C4 cab, C4s cab, GT3 Gt2 Turbo, Turbo Cab, Targa.....it really is brilliant.

Don't get me wrong the 911 is a great car, but until I see something drastically different/unique in the GT2, GT3, or Turbo line up, other than a new fin, special colours etc....I'm not buying.

Spy photos and the text that accompanies them are no more than "Access Hollywood" or the "Enquirer" for us motoring folks; entertaining and usually based purely on speculation and conjecture. Until something rolls onto the showroom floor...its bound to be changed.

But look how much fun we've had....3 pages....with these photos. As I said its "entertaining".....

Going all the way back to the 1960s there have been 911s with many variations of motor and body configuration...more than now if you take the AWD, Cabriolet, and Turbo models out of the equasion.

Center locks? Going to make tech inspection tougher on our club. Have to buy the darn wrenches.
