anyone have the link for taking off the shift boot and the center console? I'm doing some cool interior mods to my car, such as cutting out the sound padding under the carpet and am having a hard time BFI'ing the thing.
I've got the screws out from under the storage bin lid and the e-brake and can't find the clips to take out the shifter U-shaped thing.
danke,
cj
*bfi stands for brute force and ignorance, which is a very effective method of removing porsche interior pieces

I've always referred to it as BFFI (from my days in the AF) meaning brute force and farking ignorance. Kind of along same line as fixing something with the LFH and if that doesn't work you unleash the BFH.
Good luck and happy thanksgiving.

CJ,
Keep the stock carpets original. They're extremely expensive, and hard to find.
I'm buying a set of lightweight carpets from Cargraphics for that purpose, door panels as well. Cheaper, less time consuming, and cool looking.
The CF front fenders save roughly 14.5 lbs total, but you lose the liner, and the liner is necessary to cover the brake lines, coolant lines. Not worth it, lose that weight somewhere else behind the driver's seat.
Doors and hood are extremely light already. Exhaust is the key to take down 50 lbs while still having a muffler, but forget about passing sound at Laguna Seca.
