Default TPMS - What warnings if you drive with no wheel sensors installed?

Hi all,

No one can supply me with wheel sensors in time for my track day this weekend, so I'm considering driving around with none installed in my track wheels. I've run searches and have come across these:

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...highlight=tpms

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-gt3-forum/376222-turning-off-tire-pressure-monitoring.html

In these threads Bob Roleau and Mooty have posted that they get lights and warning chimes, but does anyone know whether these lights and chimes stay on constantly? Or is it like the seatbelt warning, where the chime switches off and just displays warning lights until the next start-up after like 5 minutes?

The reason I ask is because I have to drive 3 hours to the track and 3 back, which is going to kill me if I have that freaking annoying chime going off the whole time...

Nevermind, got my answer.

For the MY08 cars at least, the only difference is that the OBC diagram displays "--" next to each axle in the TPMS pictogram (poor substitute image below).

Edit: I didn't get any lights or warnings at all during my 2.5 km drive from the tire shop to the office, with speeds of up to 70 kph (no idea if anything gets triggered during longer drives or higher speeds).

Mine shuts off after awhile, then is back once you restart the car.

I wonder if this is a MY to MY, or if it is a Euro-spec vs. NA-spec difference...
