Default RMS leakers: GT3 or GT3 RS

are the majority of RMS issues isolated to the gt3 w/ dual-mass flywheel, or the gt3rs w/ single mass flywheel? just curious which models are 'the leakers' that are suspect. or are both having the issue?

RMS is not related to flywheel type.
i have both RS and non RS. they ALL leak.
if your particular 7gt3 isn't leaking, then either you got a "fake" GT3 or it WILL be leaking soon.

i am not a hater. i dont mind the leak and i dont bother fixing them unless the car is in for other services.

just want to let you know that it WILL leak sooner or later, it's a matter of when not if.

I agree with Mooty, if it does not leak now it will soon. It does not matter LWFW or not they all leak. My GT3 leaked with the dual mass FW and then had the RMS "Repair" and installed the LWFW and 1000 miles later it is leaking again.

so it looks like all 997 gt3/gt3rs are suspect to rms leak issues. that's a shame, as you would think pcna would have has this issue remedied, as they had several 996 & boxster w/ same problem. i guess you have to keep a close watch on your car & get it repaired if & when rms begins to fail. should not happen to such a pedigree car- and pcna should repair w/ut any issue.

Wow, I always assumed cars with lwfw would put less stress on that seal and leak less. Seems like the 997 gt3 leaks worse than any 996/997 m96/97 variant to date!
Anybody try the tt seal yet?

So far with the tt seal it no longer leaks

But it did with the stock flywheel and the single mass fly wheel

It is clearly seal related not fly wheel related

I'm not ready to give the tt seal the thumbs up as I need to put another 10k. But so far so good

Paying this amount of money for a car, I don't expect there are RMS for those GT1 block. My friend 996 GT3 doesn't have this problem. What's wrong with the 997 GT3? Maybe it is a reason to switch to a complete new engine.

I hope the new engine won't have RMS.

no, you drive it so hard, you scare the oil right back into the seal. that's what alex tells me.
