For me, in a GT3, I find 265's on the front (Sport Cups) and a GT2 sway in the rear set on full stiff for the track or medium on the street creates a nicely balanced, not quite "pointy" car, but you can apply throttle to transition to oversteer instead of understeer. And you don't need to trail-brake precariously to get the thing to rotate.

I'd like to try the "crazy 88's" (888's) but I haven't seen the right combination of front and rear sizes yet.
The 997 GT3 RS has a wider track than the 997 GT3, it also has a slightly longer wheelbase, front track is identical.

If you install the RS rear lower control arms on a 997 GT3, the wheelbase becomes the same. If you put rear RS wheels on the 7GT3, the rear track becomes the same.

PASM info from my seat of the pants. I haven't done back to back testing with a 7GT3 and 7GT3RS, but I have driven both, and I have noticed the RS being on a stiffer setting, while the 7GT3 feel softer (vertical suspension movement).

If you are using the rear bar at full stiff, a rear 7GT2 bar, and 265/305 MPSC, yes your 7GT3 will be balanced.

I have 265/325 and a wider track at the back (due to the wheels), it pushes just a little, but I can't adjust it more unless I change my front or rear bar, or run a weird alignment (less toe-in back, more toe-out front).

You put RS wheels on the back of a GT3? Any tweaks to make that work (clearance) ?

I have a set of RS wheels that I was planning to put on an RS, but if they work on the GT3, I'll use them there first. I had assumed I'd be changing spacers or bolts, so I put it in the "to do" list to experiment.

Do you run the suspension button (What ever its called) soft or Stiff, I run it soft for standard R compound tires vs. R6. You might just for giggles just putting the rear bar one back from full stiff and front one more closer to stiff.

When the snow starts to fly and I can figure out my current spring rates. going with stiffer springs and softer rear sway setting, more rear wing and lowering the car. I will give that a try for next year.

It is true that the 3 has a lot of push from the factory, a track alingment helps that considerably, I have just learned to drive it a bit differently, Trail brake on slow corners and throttle modulation on fast corners. its all still a lot of fun but it could be faster.

Aren't the wheels from both cars 19j X12 ? I know the offsets differ (ET68 on the 3 and ET51 on RS).
Does the offset difference make the track wider ?

Where's the info on the pasm differences?
Good question. I spent about 1 hour today with my local Porsche parts guy. The PASM struts on both the GT3 and RS have the same part number. Note, however that the RS has a different rear spring Part #. What are the rear spring differences ? No one can tell me, I'd be interested in finding out.

I also tried to order a GT2 rear Sway bar, it's the same part # as the GT3 AND RS : 997.333.701.96. If anyone has a different part no for the GT2 bar please post it.

And the RS has a longer track than what; a GT3? (no)
The RS has is longer, has a wider track, and a longer wheelbase than the GT3:
(From: "The New 911 GT3 RS and The 911 GT3: Technical Data")
GT3 Length 4,445mm Width 1,808mm W/B 2,355mm
RS Length 4,460mm Width 1,852mm W/B 2,360mm
