CJ,
Mooty has it right. It's as much the air box noise as the mufflers that make all the noise. Essa can fab up a system for you to use including wraping your intake with foam...

mooty wasn't there- he doesn't venture south of the monterey peninsula- I can't blame him!
I was simply suggesting that we could play cat and mouse like adam, george and I together.

CJ - don't go halfway on reducing your sound for Laguna. You will be meatball flagged the first lap and three meatballs and you're done, period. You need to bypass the automatic exhaust cutoff. Putting on the AWE deflector pipes will give you an extra margin. You won't need the foam in your intake if you do these two things.
BTW, short shifting to 4th gear going uphill from turn 5 is not the way to go, unless you want to catch up your text messaging while you slowly climb the hill. And, you will be passed every lap between turns 5 and 6 by at least 2 or 3 cars who have their sound level right. I suspect that you are too much of a competitor to let that happen to you.
I have given up trying to upload photos of my exhaust switch that works really well.
PM me with an email address if you wish me to send a photo.

The Baja! We used to go there on our yearly pilgramage to PB for a week of golfing and general lunacy.

But since I don't golf anymore...

Hey CJ, I forgot to ask you at the track... but do u still have your side mufflers?
I am considering removing mine and was wondering if anyone had seen a solution for this considering i have the sharkwerks in the center/back...
and what about your radio/AC? Still got them on board?
Trying to get a feel for relative weight of our cars.
Cheers
