Seriously, I don't see bump-steer as the issue, but I know of what Watt speaks in terms of the car kinda doing what it wants and not following bumps and lumps in the road in a predictable manner because the body is bobbing up and down, unweighting the tires and wreaking havoc on the geometry.
And then think about where Watt drives. For those roads, I'd take a stock, freeway-wandering 996-3 over a stock version of its replacement every time. Still want to drive a 7-GT3 with an aggressive, non-factory alignment. Oh wait, I drove Sharky's and it was MUCH better. But it still had damping issues.
After driving the new GT2 with better PASM and the geometry tweaks, though, I can't wait for the FL GT3. If (and it's an if) its chassis is as good as the 2, I might have a new favorite water-cooled 911. No matter what engine they stick in it (well, hopefully...).
