Heel and Toe with PCCB brakes
As I type the title, I thought I would do a search on the topic. However, I would like to ask members with PCCB found any quick solutions or tip on realigning my right foot for smoother transition of heel and toe.
I had the car for about 4 mos. now with 4 days worth of track days. It seems very difficult to replicate this compare to other cars I drove in past or even the other GT3 without PCCB. TIA! If I continue to drive the way I downshift now, I will shoot myself.

when braking, I use to only step on half or 2/3 of the pedal (i.e right bit of brake pedal), and i found it is extremely diffcult to bilp enough throttle, especially down shfit from 3rd to 2nd...later i found it is lot more comfortable to bilp and control the throttle if my foot is stepping on the whole brake pedal..

once my pads were properly bedded, H-T wasn't an issue on track or street. lots of people say the pedal is too high, or spread too far, but having size 13 wide feet I've never had a problem with it.

This has come up before. Concensus is that you need to properly bed the brakes, which can't be done with normal street driving. You need to do 10+ repeated, hard, near stops from 80mph (approx), to get the brakes hot enough to bed. Then heal / tow becomes easier.

- this is what i use
- i have a narrow size 9 foot and i don't heal/toe i toe/toe
- i have installed just the gas pedal with the top extension
- works perfectly for me
- i just screwed the rennline pedel on top of / through the stock pedal (half a centimeter offset to the left) in order to even further reduce the distance between the pedals
- install took all of 5 minutes and requires a screw driver
- some have said "it is dangerous" as your foot can get trapped behind the pedal
- my answer to this is driving in nyc is dangerous, driving on a track with pedals that are too far apart (if you have small feet) is dangerous if you are stretching to reach two pedals at once
- it works for me and makes toe/toe for me easy and thus it is safer in my book

- if you don't like it, it can be removed in 5 minutes and it will cost about the price of a tank of gas

I find PCCB cars hard to heel and toe in because the brake pedal is too high with respect to the gas. If you brake hard enough to get the pedal down to where HT is possible, you overbrake. On a student's car I suggested he resolve the issue by simply adding a second rubber gas pedal screwed into the regular one. It narrows the height differential between the pedals and it worked fine for him and me when I tried it.
I wear size 10 and dislike pedal exetensions which move the pedals closer together. Too easy to inadvertently get gas and brake at the same time.
Best,

carn - I want to slow from 120 MPH to 70 MPH and downshift to third while doing so. Press the too high (relative to the gas pedal) brake pedal enough to heel and toe and presto I am doing 45 MPH.
