Cost no object, RS or 430?

IMO it all depends on what you want to do with it. To the general public you wont find a more desired car than the 430. Here on RL however, is a completely different story. I'd take an RS any day!

Seriously, though...
My neighbor has a 430, but he's always in my driveway when I'm washing the GT3. I've never gone to watch him wash his car, though. Not that I don't like the car, it just doesn't interest me.
Since I track my car, I use it to it's near full potential. His is a garage queen. As the poster above asked... "IMO it all depends on what you want to do with it. "

I had a 430 for two years. Nice car - no issues. I enjoy my toys on the track and had a 996GT3 at the time. Hardly used the 430 because the Porsche was superior on the track. On the road the 430 was better - but attracts more attention than I like. This probably didn't answer your question but it is what worked for me. One other thing about the 430 - I sold it for $2K less than I paid new, after two years - that doesn't happen with a Porsche.

Because most here are track junkies, and we all know the GT3 reign supreme there! It may not always be the fastest car (although a lot of the time it is) but most will agree you wont find another track experience like it.

The GT3 has rhythm and it has soul. You'll find the same cliche's about the 430 on the F-forums, though. Have you driven a GT3 or RS? I mean on the track. Any car can do nicely as a grocery getter.

This is a tough call. Ferraris are way too flashy for me--I am always awed when I see one but I would not want to drive it around. The RS is sort of the same, however, with the loud colors and the decals. But between the two, I will take the German. Frankly, I'd rather have a regular GT3 with an LWFW than either one.

I see. +1 then! It'd be interesting to hear why F-car owners think the 430 is a better track car.

Cabernet or Pinot?
I own both (Cab and Pinot, too)
There is no definite answer; it comes down to circumstances, stage in life and current preferences.
When you start to compare each car at the limit, the choice moves. Why?
Because if you are good enough and truly capable enough (I'm not, and have no pretensions) to extract the maximum capabilities of either car, then the game changes and a new comparison rears it "ugly" head.
I.E. Cup car versus Challenge car; and the game goes on. But then we start to rationalize about the merits (or demerits) of towing (and the game stays same (indecision).
So after all that waffling, which is better? The one you own, and the time (mental energy) is better spent working on improving the skills to extract the performance in either. Now if you are so good to merit an F1 license, then there is no choice required as you will have the financial wherewithal to own both, and that completes the circle.
