Default Mirror Vibration...

Does your in-car mirror vibrate badly so you see a blurred image of the cars behind you (or 'am I the only one)? And if so has anyone found a solution to fix this?

thanks...

During my senior year at UCLA, one of the projects was to design a control system that maintains the distance between two mirrors where a laser beam was bouncing back and forth. Those mirros were mounted on piezoelectric crystal to cancel out all the vibrations.

I was thinking about that project since the mirrors on my Ducati can't see crap due to vibration.

I think it is caused by the lighter weight rear glass window which vibrates, not the mirror. Thought I read somewhere either on a post or in the owners manuel how images in the rear window will look blurred.

Mine does - at first I thought it was the rear wing.

This is either a dry witticism or an expression of boundless optimism! : )

The rear glass is no different (from GT3, RS or any Carrera) and the vibration, well, just touching the mirror suppresses the vibration, revealing a clear image of the cop trying to pace you through traffic.

Mine does too - but so far no RMS leak so I'm happy!

Mine vibrates at idle, but not once you rev up. The engineers did a good job tuning the resonance! I think its cool.
