Problem with Sport button
Hi everyone, it seems that the sport button on my 7GT3 doesn't work anymore. It sounds like the sport button mode is on all the time, even if I turn off the sport button. Does anyone have this problem or experienced this before? Should I have it checked out? Any comments are appreciated. thanks

I've checked the plug and it seems to be intact. The sounds does seem to be more throatier when coasting at higher RPMS However, I just want to make sure it's not doing any harm to the car

It sounds sooooo much better around town with the plug pulled. The only downside is that it drones a lot between 2-3,000rpm.
In town, it's easy to stay out of that range, but on the highway, it becomes more difficult, so if I'm heading on a road-trip, I plug it back in.
I'm going to get a sharkwerks bypass in the near future after recovering from all my track expenditures

I had the same problem on my car a few weeks back and dealer diagnosed it as a problem with the valves actuating the flaps, which is an integrated unit with the muffler. They initially claimed that a speed bump must have damaged the valves and therefore it was a non-warranty claim. When I asked them to show me how that could possibly have happend, they agreed that it was covered by warranty. Otherwise, $$$ as you would need to replace the two mufflers + valves if it is the same problem.

Playersclub, if this is what happened to your car, you should see dents in the two muffler valves; they are actually sticking out from the muffler system at the back of the rear wheels. Check it out.
