I have a GT3 and WRX and I track them both. Both are fantastic. The GT3 is better but It is a waste of a great track car to put street miles on it. Thanks for the post. If it was an 04 I would be hard pressed to pass it up.

Keith,

Solid comeback, I secretly envy your wagon.
Everytime I pull my 26' 8500lb Cobalt to the lake, or my 28' enclosed trailer to the track. I kick myself and think about Jerry Seinfelds nanny and her forester.

Sorry for the negative sounding post, there is just a better place for this post within a Porsche enthusiast forum, off topic or the for sale area.
Cheers,

SOLD!!! To a fellow Rennlister who saw my ad here in this section. It took about a week, so I guess there is a lot more than zero interest from GT3 owners. The new owner is getting a great enthuisiast car at an even better price.

Thank you Rennlist for providing the perfect place to list my 2006 Subaru STi! It is also nice that the car is staying in the family.

congrats on the sale...

Sti's are great cars, I'm selling mine just now as well (picking up a 997S)..

If anyone is interested in a 2008 Sti (WRB) with stage 2+ tune (about 390hp), it's a great track day rat, last time out I was walking on M3's all day long. So much grip in the corners that it's almost like cheating, you just turn in and hit the gas and the car just pulls you through without problem. I have an Elise as well and I couldn't believe how soon you could get on the gas with this thing, each lap I would lay on it earlier and earlier, pretty impressive.

With sticker rubber and a few suspension mods the car would be mighty impressive, I wouldn't be surprised if it would humble GT3's. I know Tsukuba lightly tuned Sti were running near 1:02 times, that is GTR territory..

Anyway car was good, and being a 5 door perfect for daily duties, but a nice slightly used 997S came up for a song so I had to jump on it (fully loaded, PCCB'S and all), and I've only got 3 spots in my building so something had to go.

Jelly,
My untuned wrx gets heat soak twards the end of all sessions and I loose horsepower. What brake pads did you run? Didn't you also loose some ponies?
