CCW's on my red GT3
Hello all,
Thanks to TRoy (trj), I was able to get a set of CCW C14's before the track season starts. They came plain anodized, but I decided to get then painted satin black because I'm too lazy to clean the brake dust off after track days.
I also ordered a set of R888's in 255 and 315 from Radial Tire @ 301-585-2740. Both TRoy and Radial Tire were awesome to deal with. The price for the tires was $264 for each front and $325 for each rear for a total of $1,178. I dealt with Sam at Radial, he was awesome. If you order from them, tell them Farzaan from Canada sent you.
Here are some pics for those considering the C14's in satin black. The only thing that bothers me is that the car visually appears to sit higher due to the shorter diameter rear tire and the offset of the front wheels. I might bring the car down a bit, but will wait to see how the car performs on the track.

Looks familiar - are those 18s or 19s? You'll love that combination on the track - did my first event last weekend at Firebird and the tires were outstanding! Had to start at about 30 lbs to get them hot enough - maybe I need to drive harder!
Happy apexing.

Thanks all for the kind words; I'm hoping to take some better pics when the sun is out and the wheels/tires are clean. I've also got a set of Pagid Yellows ready to go on along with Motul 660 or Castrol SRF.
Radial Tire is in the USA, but they were able to ship to Canada without any hassle. Indeed, we shipped it UPS Expedite so that I wouldn't get that ridiculous brokerage fee.
I didn't bother with the TPMS for the track wheels/tires since I'll only have them on for a few days before and after events. I've also filled them with Nitrogen to keep the pressures stable. The TPMS gives a warning saying that it's not working so you have to flick the OBC lever to acknowledge the error; the "!" and the TPMS symbol stays lit even after acknowledgement.
They are 18x9 and 18x12. I have no idea what the offsets are, but John at CCW would know. You keep the spacer on so they are direct replacement for stock.

fc-racer - Haven't seen a red 3 with black wheels yet, but your car looks great! Let us know if you run the R888's on the street (to try them out) and how noisy they are. I am considering a 19" set for street use when the MPSC's wear out.

Here's the UPS link that shows which services bypass the brokerage fee: http://www.ups.com/content/ca/en/shi...clearance.html
In the case of the tires, I got smart and obtained prices for standard and expedited shipping. Standard was $160 and Expedited was $260. The brokerage fee for the tires would have been $52 per package for a total of $104 so it made more sense to get the package faster and not feel as ripped. The tires arrived in four days including the day that they were shipped (sent Monday and arrived Thursday).
For small, high value packages, using Expedited should work out well.

The main thing i notice is that they have much more tread squirm than the OEM MPSC's that came off the car. This is probably due to a larger sidewall and being full tread depth vs. worn out MPSC. You can especially feel this at higher speeds. I'm sure this feeling will dissipate as the tread gets worn in properly.
The other thing I've noticed already is that they absorb short sharp bumps better (like driving over a crack in the pavement or those nasty metal strips on bridges)
I'll provide more updates once I get a few hundred km's on them.
