Default some thoughts on 996 CS seats in the 997

This weekend I drove my GT3 for the 1st time on track with the techquipment "Pan Americana" 997 bar (now no longer sold in the USA
apparently ) and 996 Clubsport seats installed and I thought I would share my experiences.

With this combination the seat "track" collides with the lower/front bolt/mounting for the rollbar, so the seat does not go all the way back on the
track. This combined with the "uprightness" of the CS seats is an issue.

Being 6'"1 tall and 2-mumble-mumble lbs ... err "big boned" with relatively
long legs, this arrangement is a little too close to the wheel/pedals to be
entirely comfortable with heel/toe although you can do it (with the steering
wheel compressed all the way "in").

I should also note that wearing my HJC helmet there was not a lot of room (if any) between the top of the helmet and the roof ... (oops)

Ideally I would like the seat to go back further and/or rake some more.

I tried to achieve this with the excellent B-K GT3 seat side mounts BR 9078 and 9079.

Sadly these side mounts (which would have been IDEAL) are only designed to be used with "race" side belts, so you cannot re-mount your street belts and
use those in tandem with the clip-on style of race/lap belts ...

just thought I would share...

A quick fix would be to bolt the seat directly to the floor. As for the belt receptacle, I ended up drilling a hole in the side mount and used the big square spacer that comes with euro GT3 seats.

Yeah I measured the holes in the BK's with the thought that I might drill the OEM mounts ...

I think the solution might be to replace the 997 bolt-in with the 996 which might cure the slider problem!
