GT2 Monza Roll-out
I thought, I want to share some of my first circuit experience in Monza. To make it short, GT2 is an incredible capable car. In half-wet conditions, I was able to clock 2.05 min, compared with 2.00 min dry conditions last year with a Cup!!! There is much more potential with this car - I believe that a time below 2.00 min is absolutely possible.....with street legal tyres. Many Cup drivers were puzzled to be taken by a street legal car
GT2 injects full confidence with its balance and let you know very early what corrections are required. The steering is razor sharp (did not change the setup). Last but not least, the power is incredible. For instance, the Parabolica (long corner, leading to the straight), GT2 needs some throttle balancing......opposite to the Cup, where one can put the throttle down. The power can be nicely controlled as the output is very linear.
Given the feedback on this forum wrt brakes, I changed the liquid and it prooved to be good. Thanks for the hint.
Now, how does this position the GT2 to the GT3RS and Cup. Having driven Ferrari Stradale, GT3 Cup for some season, I was worried to have choosen too much of a Gentleman car with the GT2. I can say with full conviction, that GT2 is sportier and more capable than a GT3RS whilst being capable to compete with GT3 Cup on fast circuits. Without doubt, smaller circuits, the Cup will be faster, given the weight and tyres.
...and as a small hint, the Scuderia's attempted to be a competitor......sorry, no chance.....

Couldn't agree more Matt. When reading this guys write up all I couldthink was wow, that is what Matt was telling me exactly, at VIR and its capability. Unreal cars for sure, I can't wait to try out a 997 2.

I am happy to read these words because I bought a GT2 and sold my 997gt3 rs.
Many people told me that I made a Mistake.
The gt2 with a professional driver made 2.00 and something from a test made by Porsche.
This lap time was made with michelin sport cup and if you will change them with the new Pero corsa C (available only 305 not 320 for the moment).
The scuderia instaed 2.01 high

By the way hi, I have red you for a year but this is my first post.
I am italian and I love cars, first of all cars for track use like gt3/gt2, much more than a "normal" carrera or a "normal" turbo
