NAV Options
Looking at a 997s without NAV. What are my options to install NAV? Is there an aftermarket NAV compatible with the stock PCM or is the OEM available at a reasonable price?

GT3s do NOT have NAV!!! NAV or NAVIGATION is a mutually exclusive term with GT3!!!
This car goes around a 1-5.0 mile track. You dont NEED NAV to get around the track!!
Just kidding LO!!!!L......... typically not many people get NAV with a GT3.
After market and I was a GPS Engineer for 14 years, I like the Magellan 4040. I have that one and it
adds blue tooth to your car. its simple and easy to use. Magellan was around in the beginning of GPS
in the civilian market, or non military market. It sucks on to the wind shield and goes easily between
cars. its about 299 -$399 and you can add voice recognition for $100 and it upgrades easily on the USB port on your PC or Mac

I think the GT-R did that on the Ring. No telling what kind of accuracy Nissan could get and
I believe that the technology is good enough to get an accurate enough reading to alter your
traction control AND acceleration to minimize your lap times. In fact I think the technology is good enough
to not even have the driver and set track records with a good enough GPS.
To be honest if I could do it over again, I might buy the NAV+PCM

actually OG there is a TopGear episode where BMW used GPS tuning to drive the car around the test track. I've got it on dvd, it's from fall 2007. the car brakes, throttle steers, and turns all by itself on the racing line. F-ing creepy.

So, the ringer GTR that is pulling super fast times doesn't need much from the driver inside?? When they say it's a $70k real life playstation, I guess they weren't joking!

well, I just read that Polyphony Digital designed the center console screen layout and software for the Nisasn GTR. A car partially made by the Gran Turismo game, should be just that, a game.

I am moving back to LA and commute to OC for work...
I could gain 30-days of resting (on my car) per year with this "auto drive"!
P.S. It wasn't long ago, the "smartest" computer is comparable to that of a cockroach's brain.
