I started out with a new 97 993 C4S. Still have it. Probably my favorite car. A keeper. In 06 got an F430. Tracked it and drove on the street. Too much attention and to much damage to such a car. Got my 07 GT3
last August and set it up for the track. Stopped driving the 430, so I just sold it and picked up a 97 993 Cab for nice weather fun and saved a little sales tax. If I ever stop tracking the GT3 I'll put the stock seats back in and drive it more on the street.
Nice 993's are great daily drivers. Just put in some Pss10's and they drive just great.

Matt (green cup Matt), the RS stands for Rock Star. Don't sell it. Few Pcars inspire that much attention and that much driving enjoyment on the street or the track. I think about selling mine because of the build, but, it only takes one day out of the garage to quickly put such silly thoughts behind me!

well mooty is the rennlist/track equivalent of Mclovin...

"there's not even a last name on here!!!"

I've got 4210 miles on my RS and I've had it since mid-jan. also didn't drive it for 2 months whilst training out of state and such. I've seen lots of different cars on the track but a cup car is the one thing that I'm looking forward to some day. When I get my miata cup car in the next few weeks, the RS will see a bit less track (but still occasionally) because I'll be living in two states at the same time this fall/winter and need to track in both spots to keep my learning curve going. I'll come pester mooty in CA in my RS and everyone else in TX with the Mx5. And save the 993TT for top speed runs.

you've all corrupted me. thanks!

I can totally understand selling one car to get another- the only I'd see owning a cup car "and not race" is because you've got a garage AT THE TRACK and therefore don't need a trailer/tow truck.

mooty is that slow in and slow out with drifting or trail braking? I'm more of the former, sometimes because of the latter

you are much better. my slow in and slow out is due to general incompetence and confusion b/n throttle and brake then compounded by not knowing to turn left or right until the GPS tells me where to go.
