Volk wheels have a reputation for being strong, lightweight track wheels. Unfortunately, to my knowledge they have not been available in the 12" width for the 997 GT3 and RS. It really doesn't make much sense to go to a narrower wheel on the rear, particularly when a lot of track addicts are trying to fit wider tires than stock.

Cool, you get a red rim and can say "time ataku!"

So are TE37 wheels good for track use? I am feeling lazy and those are the easiest for me to get.

Have a set for my 993, getting a set for the GT3 too. They are very light, almost "frisbee" like, much better looking wheel in person too than in pictures.

They do make them in 19x12 specifically for the 997 GT3. I was going to get a set as I have had 2 other sets of volks on other cars and have been very pleased with them. However, they don't make the correct offsets for the rear to fit the RS and I decided not to use spacers or adaptors.

The specs for the GT3 wheels are 19X8.5 +52 19X12 +65

They also make these wheels in 20" for the Cayenne.

I looked at tire rack and they don't have the 19x12 rears. The one they have is 10.5". Where are Volk wheels available in GT3 size?

Type in "TE37 Porsche 19X12" in google and you'll find the few vendors that carry them.

I put the standard gunmetal TE37's on my GT3 (18"). They look better than expected and are much lighter than the OEM's (beyond the obvious size difference).

There was a thread here some time ago about these wheels being problematic in terms of the weights coming off. Sure enough they lasted less than 3 track days, I may have one weight left in one wheel, rest are gone.

Saw it on 6speedonline forum:

According to Vividracing:
The fronts are 19x8.5 and rears are 19x12. The Volk stickers are removable. Wheels are 1 piece forged. Very strong and lightweight. Rears are about 23lbs and fronts about 19lbs. $2800 + shipping.
