SP16a is a double 8 spokes. It's listed in the street wheels but he also has the forging for it. I wanted a one piece wheel but with a small lip. Since he doesn't recommend anodize black for track wheels, I will most probably go with shotpeened black.

I trust John!!

Default Any Reason why

There was a thread here some time ago about these wheels being problematic in terms of the weights coming off. Sure enough they lasted less than 3 track days, I may have one weight left in one wheel, rest are gone.
Any Idea why the volk wheel has the problem more than others. Is the inside of the rim real smooth? maybe if you warn the shop to ruff up the spot with sand paper or something it would help.

I posted this a few days ago because I was torn between this rim and CCW c-14's anyone know the wt of the ccw-14's to compare with this Volk. I assumed that the rim comes with the red strip?

Frank, Stephen (340elise) just sent me a note with CCW wheel info including weights. The 18x12 is 23.5 lbs and the 18x9 is 21 lbs.

Default Awesome wheels

I bought these wheels from Tire rack with the conti 3s on the wheel.
They took about 18+ lbs off the car even in the 19".
I went for the gunmetal color as the black is too popular here in Hawaii.
Total package shipped to HI was $4,800.

I had to get the front wheels re-balanced as they where off, but that is what you get for free from Tirerack!!!

I'm a big Volk fan even working for CCW but the SP16a's are awesome looking. A local customer of ours did a one off finish on his own and some for other customers as well that are stunning. Not crazy about the caps but other that....

I think you have "Bright Dipped Grey Anodized" which does have a very light blue tint to it. Looks awesome!

I had TE37's and I think the CCW's are superior in that you get exactly the width and offset you want while being just as strong and good value. Plus the C10's are definitely lighter compared to the TE37's.

Ok cool... I had a set of CCW classics for my M3 years ago, good quality indeed!
