GTR: No brake fade

Burning Brakes
Hold on. The GT-R (neh Godzilla) has track pedigree...her predecessors R-32 through R-34 were more than a little competitive in touring car racing...in the case of the Aussie series forcing several bouts of aggressive handicapping to stem there walk away wins.
This GT-R is credible...ugly or not....she has advanced the game.

Still love my Porsches, but very tempted to add a GT-R to my garage. No big rush. Waiting patiently for the markups to die down and the intro. of the V spec edition....

I am willing to offer 10 cents on the dollar to poor folks stuck with Gt3's in the face of the far superior Nissan.
To answer the question of how you get no brake fade on a GTR? No problem you can:
a) Drive it slowly
b) Don't use the brakes
c) Change to race pads
d) lie about it
Note there is no option "f". Street pads don't work on the track because they HAVE to stop a car from cold at -40 Degrees. They cannot tolerate the heat of repeated braking on a race track. Race pads are neveer used in extreme cold and are designed to resist high temps instead.
best,

TWO DIFFERENT CARS
I can't wait to get delivery on my GT-R(May-June)...but would I give up my GT-3 for it ..NO WAY.
Two different types of cars. I once had a 71-240-z..GREAT car, kept it for 15 years. My GT-3 is a much better replacement for that type of car.
GT-R will replace my S-4, and do a good job of it as a daliy driver and ocasional DE...I hope.

I can't wait to hear your comparison review. It will be nice to get one from a current GT3 owner who is going to have both cars at the same time. Congrats on the car; I would be excited too! Btw, this is none of my business, so I understand if you don't want to comment, but did you get yours at MSRP - GTR that is?

"If all production cars run like our 3529-mile engineering-mule tester, with its husky midrange torque and smooth ramp-ups to on-boost thrust, buyers will be getting way more than 480 horsepower for their dollars. The GT-R must have more to be haul-assing its 3908 pounds to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds. That’s what the $321,956 611-hp Ferrari 599GTB Fiorano runs on game day. Unconfirmed reports out of Japan say production GT-Rs are cremating dynos with 480 horsepower at the wheels, which means the twin-turbo, twin-intercooler, twin-intake 3.8-liter V-6 is churning out well over 500 fillies."
Exactly what I thought after reading the tech specs that Nissan puts out and they describe their "net" hp as the engine attached to the car (or something like that). Which is just fine by me; helps with insurance.

Drifting
+1, my thoughts exactly. Something just doesn't add up in the various "tests" I have read for the GTR, IMHO.
I'm not saying that the car rags are "cooking the books", but Nissan sure is a large advertiser in these same mags.
A 4,000 pound car that does not experience brake fade, give me a ####ing break. Yeah, and I think they also forgot to mention that the GTR can drive on water and transform into a light personal aircraft. On second thought, scratch the "light" description.
BTW, I'll up the ante to $0.30 on the dollar for your outdated and obsolete GT3s and GT3RSs. PM me. LOL
