Had one of the 1st sets fitted in the UK fitted to my RS on Saturday.
Great to have a proper tyre on the rear at last, big improvement in grip.
I don't think i got the correct pressures all day though, as i feel i may have been running them a bit too low on the rear (34psi)
Will spend some more time experimenting next time out, but either way, a BIG improvement over OEM Cups IMO
You get the usual rolling noise on the highway, but nothing too bad.

R888's only down fall is that they are LOUD on the street.
also unlike, RA1, they will heat cycle. my first two sets lost grip before they corded, which is unlike RA1.
36F/38R hot is what i aim for.
over 40, you will be in for a wild ride.
at 34, you must get a lot of roll over.

i am glad you enjoyed R888. i have always said the OEM cups are so bad, i almost sold the car b/c of that.

This was my first weekend at VIR on R888's, have used RA1's before and definitely liked these better.
ALTHOUGH I had a set already heat cycled (RA1's) it's hard to give my impression through the first day since the R888's were a bit greasy until worn in/heat cycled a few times!
2nd day out, they were getting GOOD, started out at 32/32 cold around but was ending up at over 40, way too much. Went down to 30 front and rear, but found the sweet spot at 28 cold front/rear and was getting 38 hot all around.
Overall, liked them A LOT, and they get better and better, my 3rd day out there was the best !

but day 5, the grip is not the same at the first 600 miles (4 days).
within the first 4 days, the fall off is not really perceptable to me.
however, in those 4 days, i also logged 1000 street miles driving to/from track.
