Sorry for the confusion. I don't have PCCBs. I was making the comment about them because I saw that there was talk of 19" Hoosiers. There is zero reason to put 19" wheels for track use unless one has to clear the brakes. I wanted the rest of the people reading to know this.

I ran Hoosiers for the first time in anger yesterday on my 997RS.
235/35/19 front with 325/30/19 rear.
The circuit was Oulton Park - 2.7 miles, tight in places, but overall fast and flowing with blind crests and a fantastic banked hairpin. Absolutely loved it.
Very little run off and the day started damp. A dry line appeared after about an hour.
The car was epic on the Hoosiers. The rear was absolutely nailed down. Totally composed. Front end bite was terrific. Lovely balance overall. I was also running the GT2 rear stabilizer bar, on the softest of the 3 settings to ensure the car was composed over the kerbs at Oulton.
My buddy Glenn went out on the new R888's (235/35/19 f, 305/30/19 rear). He loved them. Rated them above the Cups. We had a great tussle.
At the end of the day I also went out in the Oakley Design 997GT3. The car was running on prototype 19" Pirelli race slicks. It has a host of mods including intrax 4 way titanium dampers, next gen brembo 8 piston front calipers and dymag carbon/magnesium wheels.
It was very close to the pace of a 997 cup car. Absolutely ballistic. The dampers are pure alchemy. They run softer springs than stock thus improving the ride on the road. Yet on track they transform the car and finally release the true potential of the 997 chassis. Exceptional bite from the brakes. I hear that RS29 pads on the standard PCCB disks are the business on track too.
So there you have it. With a few subtle tweaks - namely tyres, suspension and brakes, the 997GT3/RS transforms into a Cup car with carpets.
