matt- I agree with you that the LWFW is a great thing to add to a stock GT3.

but hey man if you could only have 1 between a cup car, a gt3 and an RS...that's not quite the choice most of us are faced with!

rich- what's the warranty like on a black series?

agree that you should not feel bad for not bidding to include the over MSRP mark-up....there are other cars around but the low mileage units (<1500 miles) should still command a small premium

Hey Alvin!
Go for it...you're gonna love the RS...i paid over...hopped in the driver's seat and forgot all about it. Best P-car i've ever owned.
15-20k over sounds about right...

CJ - the black series comes with the standard MB warranty...4 years and 50k miles

930man - don't disagree that the GT3 with the lwfw is the best value and I did overpay for my orange RS after waiting almost a year for the prices to come down.

I think MB also covers track usage without question on the Black Series.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but knowing the previous owner and know how the car was pampered means the car is worth more than market value in my book. I am not in the market for a RS but based on what I read here, going rate for new RS is 30k over? And an used one seems to be 10-15k over? So if this is the right one, I think 20k over is a fair deal for both.

Also, available colors on the RS are so drastically different too. It is not exactly picking between silver and grey. I think people who are set on one color is not likely to go with another one. So if this is the right color, has all the major options you want, and know the car has been taken care of. Don't let that few thousands get in the way.

wilfred- good point about the color. A lot of people REALLY wanted white but it was only available on the 2008 m.y.

I personally like orange and green the best, followed by black (black wheels).

atan- your black series is fantastic, love the black wheels. HRE? big question but kind of OT- did you cross-shop an R8, GT-R skyline, with the BS? I'd probably take the black series personally, just wish we had a dealer locally that wasn't a douche. How does the NA 63 engine compare to the 55 supercharged?

I test drove an R8 and its feels underpowered for me . The BS 6.3 is a lot of torque and hp for its weight. Car handles and drives like a gt3 but a bit heavier but the extra 100hp helps it out

How did you get the effects onto the pictures? They look almost hand-painted and I love them!
