I like them bolted with no sliders. But that is limiting if you want to share. I like being as low as possible.
And yes are now part of the car and it should feel very snug, that will help you feel everything going on with the attitude of the car.

Cobra Seats
I like it a lot. The seats I like about as much as the 996 GT3 seats, but not as much as the 997 GT3 seats. The bar I like better than the GT3 bars.
Let me ask you some questions. How much do those seats weigh? Is Cobra a good quality seat? I would guess yes since you own a GT3. Are those the fat boy versions? I am 6' 2", 235 lbs and have fairly broad shoulders; my *** is fine (not like smokin' fine, but as in not too big). Finally, in a Hispanic accent: "How moch mooooney?"
Thanks

The seats in the photo are the Suzuka Technology (carbon fibre) they also make the Suzuka (not carbon) which is a little heavier and less expensive ($789, vs $1,899). They also make the Suzuka seats (technology and standard) in a GT configuration which is wider and would fit you fine and be quite comfortable. I run the Technolgy GT in my Cup car and like it. I am 6' - 275 and fit fine.
The Suzuka is 17 lbs and the GT is 19 lbs. You can get side plates to work with your stock sliders, but the seat is pretty high in the car. That should be ok for a street car, but your head will be pretty close to the roof. I discarded the sliders and bolted the seat to custom rails, which are bolted to the floor which dropped the seat down about 1.5". But the the seat does not move which is ok for a race car, but may not be very practical for a street car.
Here is a link with a lot of information if you look into the tech information tab:

Thanks Supercup. I think I am going to give the a run at the track before I decide if I want to remove the rails. My guess is that is where I am headed, but I want to drive the car a bit more before making that decision.

zmann, i was there when your seats came in. they were extremely light and looked great. i did try sitting in the seat and it was a little toooo snug for me 6'5 220. however, i did like the shoulder room compared to the euro gt3 seats. hopefully we will meet up some time soon
