Hi everyone
Has anyone installed a Euro rear bumper on their US 997 GT3? I need to replace the rear bumper due to an encounter with a tire wall and I plan to replace it with the Euro bumper for looks. Any gotchas I should be aware of? I looked at the thread called Bumper **** and that gave me a good idea of what is involved in the bumper replacement.
Thanks in advance
Lindsey

GMGRacing.com has them in carbon fiber. I saw them in the shop when I was there this weekend.
I dont know how much they cost or if they are for sale but they were there on the floor in white ready for paint.

Hi guys,
not sure about what I'm saying but I think the bumperettes holes are actually the size of the whole bumperette in the rear bumper... it may not be just a small fixation hole behind the big bumperette...
IMO the best solution is to change the whole rear bumper.
Guillaume.

I think you could just do away with the bumpers but you would have to be creative in filling the holes. This link shows you how big the hole is after your remove them. It is big! I put my car into a tire wall and ruined the rear bumper so I have to replace it anyway.

I did this on my 996, you have to cut off the bumperette "posts" which extend into the "bumperettes" then you can install a RoW rear bumper PU ... looks much better
