Anyone tried shaved 888's in the rain and how did they compare to RA1 and/or MPSC?

I guess if its getting to be wet on Sunday it would be fun to take the Cayenne out. I've been wanting to get that thing on the track.
Adam and John I'm out for this weekend. The clouds (sound) and rain make the long trip questionable. I've rescheduled my data man for next Friday 2/8 at BW. It's an open test day if any of you are interested. The 10 day forecast looks good as of this morning.....

I used SRF in my mkI Clubsport which in part made up for the woeful performance of the turbo 350 4 pots on the front of that car ... I would HIGHLY recommend it for track work

i'll be there both days! but of course i just had an aggressive camber adjustment done which should be interesting in the wet. sounds like the track will be nearly empty! see you there

The Embassy Suites and Hol Inn xpress in Seaside are prob among the closest and both are decent places (and there's a chili's restaurant about 30secs walk love those wings). If u want to stay on the beach but don't want to pay crazy prices the Best Western is good too.

It did not rain until the last session of the Red group was over.

My first time there. It is now my favorite track, so technical, so fast, and so much fun.

I met Jeff and Mooty in person. We had a ball.

I have videos and Telemetry, I will post them later.

Jeff and I felt terrible for Mooty, he doesn't have a 4.00:1 R&P, and we could see him suffering to keep up on the straights and uphills. We are accepting donations "R&P for Mooty" (non deductible from Income Tax Returns).

Who's running again tomorrow?

I think there's something to learn that I've seen year after year at Laguna in Jan/Feb/Mar -- when the weather.com and accuweather and NOAA sites show "rain 60%" around Salinas, you have to look at a wider range of dates and then, especially looking at radar from day to day, you can see a pattern:" The valley where Laguna sits is often dry while the hills and ranges take the clouds and squeeze out the rain to the south or along the coast.

Over the last ten or so years I've had many of these "lucky" days in the early part of the year at Laguna and it seems to be a pattern. Sure, if it's really a big weather cycle and it's raining for two hundred miles along the coast in both directions, it's raining cats and dogs at Laguna too, but otherwise, it takes more than a Web site saying "60%" to know that the clouds will form over the hallowed ground of The Corkscrew!

Well, a great day for me (aside from my elbows falling off and getting a meatball) and a nicely run event, no yahoos or crazy driving. I think the only casualty for the day was a Dodge Neon with a lot of coolant on the ground.

And great to see so many GT3's. As many of us said today, we really, would enjoy a GT3 day somewhere. I think a weekend at Thunderhill very soon before it gets busy and hot. I know HOD has a GT3 day at TH coming up. It's a single day and bit expensive -- in time and money -- to be there for a single day, but if we could turn that into a two-day weekend event I think it would make for a great run up there Friday evening, group dinner Saturday evening and then jello shots off the bellies of ... oh ... okay ... yeah ... we're most of us not quite allowed to ... never mind ... but hey, a two day weekend at Thunderhill for GT3's? And hell, let's even invite the drivers with RS's.

I'll be there tomorrow in the wrx. I haven't been to laguna (only T-hill a dozen odd times over the past half dozen years) so I think I may start in the newbie group with an instructor.
