Default origin motorsport-2. my new RS

the easiest car in the world to photograph

who wants to sleep when you can drive your RS?

this car is amazing- and now I know why people pay 9k for ceramics- you can feel the difference in everything the car does. oh and the LWFW is another great thing that if you have a GT3 you need to get.

do it- LWFW conversion group buy!

I'm still pretty delerious,

I didn't sleep in hotels for the trip but switched between a few parking lots- one rest stop, one hotel parking lot, and another restaraunt/rest stop area. my total sleep on the 1600 mile drive was approx 5 hours. I had not showered or brushed my teeth since tuesday at 4am before my flight. This morning around 515 am I woke up shivering, those cars are not insulated enough that if you are only wearing shorts and a t shirt and it's 40 degrees outside- it doesn't take long to get cold. this was by far the most caveman thing I've ever done- and have no regrets. It was also really really fun!

I arrived home in dallas this morning about 845am- after leaving winter haven/ orlando at noon wednesday, promptly drove straight to and ate breakfast at the local spot, came home, showered, tiki'd for 10 mins, then slept for 4 hours straight.

this is the coolest car in the universe- and I can't wipe the stupid smile off my face.

more pics to follow.

I averaged over 22mpg on the drive, and would have been higher but when you break in the engine you're supposed to vary the rpms and stuff which means highway in 4th, 5th, 6th and repeat 2000 times.

nice! congrats!!

I can imagine that when I eventually get one it's likely that it'll be located in some far-off city, and I will drive it home myself in a solo marathon, just like you did.

The front looks nice and clean without the bi-xenon wash nipples.

VERY COOL! I know how you feel packing in all those miles with minimal stops; I do it a couple times per week! I never get tired of looking at these cars though your 993TT is tough to beat. CJ, I must have missed a post or two, what happened to the cobalt GT3?
Cheers, Tim.

Hey CJ you finally got the pumpkin home. So after 1600miles of non stop driving, will you really miss the cobalt to a point of getting yourself broke and keeping both or will the RS satisfied your needs??

I'd love to keep the cobalt, but it's for sale and if someone wants to buy it now, and sell it back in a year or two...or maybe I can just do my next gen gt3 in the same spec. like a signature cj style.

Tim- I kinda sold the blue car to ruf in dallas, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get the RS.

CJ,

Congrats and welcome home. Sounds like you had an excellent adventure. The RS looks outstanding. Can't wait to see it.
