Ratiator Grills

Ratiator Grills
I have been waiting for a set of the Cargraphics radiator grills for a few weeks now, and they may be in stock soon at RSS. In the meantime I have located a set of brand new Porsche OEM Cup car grills. These are a little pricier and they are riveted in instead of attached with an epoxy. I don't really like the idea of riveting them in, but they are supposed to be better quality.
Also, both of the above solutions require the removal of the bumper. Does anybody have an opion of which is the better product, and whch is an easier install. I have heard that the Cup car ones are easier because they do not require any removal of material behind the bumper, whereas the Cargraphics do.
I also heard that for the Cargraphics you want the black versions bcause they have a finermesh (don't look as cheap as the silver ones) and I think the silver ones may be painted and they chip.
Finally, are there any other brands out there and is there a way to install any of the above brands or a new brand without removing the bumper?
Thanks in advance,
Stephen

I know they're customarily riveted or glued in place but I'd be worried about a rock taking out a chunk of the bumper cover along with the grill. I'd prefer a Velcro attachment scheme or maybe some thin sacrificial nylon bolts which would shear...

if the rock is that big a hit, and you didn't have the grill, you would have lost your radiator anyways. either bumper or radiator, more or less $1000. no way around it. i lost one AC compressor and one radiator on various p cars i had. never had grille.

You have to contact them directly:
Hello & thank you for your inquiry.
We should complete another batch of the mesh lits this afternoon.
The cost of the kit is $299.
Please forgive that I do not know the weight off the cuff and would have to weight it for shipping charges. But, i would not expect ground shipping to exceed $20.

I basically agree, but I really do not want to drill into the bumper if I don't have to. I think a strong epoxy should hold well. But maybe I will do it your way if the screws are very far back and out of site. Do you have any pics of your install? Or just the front of the car after the install?
