Where are you guys planning on doing the watching? Are you buying one of the packages? If so which one and why.

Is anyone getting a package that also has pit credentials?

Thanks in advance for the information.

Our 12 step Daytona ritual.

Step 1. Arrive Thursday night.
Step 2. Immediately go to Waffle House for nutritious dinner
Step 3. Copious amounts of booze to numb the gastric pain brought on by nutritious dinner.
Step 4. Sleep
Step 5. Acquire credentials
Step 6. Watch Koni/Booze at track
Step 7. Dinner/*****/Sleep.
Step 8. Nutritious Breakfast at Waffle House.
Step 9. Watch start of 24 while boozing.
Step 10. Watch 24 until nightfall - still boozing.
Step 11. Dinner/Drinks/*****/Nap.
Step 12. Arrive back at track at about 3am to watch sunrise and finish of race.

It makes for a great weekend. The competition is getting better each year.

Follow these 12 steps and you will surely have a good time.

I do all my race viewing from the infield, but I move around to different areas.

As far as packages go, I always go for the Milestones package. Friday morning, we get to drive 2 laps around the track. And I do love driving my GT3 on track, even if it isn't at a race pace.

Most of the infield tickets (including mine) include passes to the general pit & garage area. I don't know of any publicly available tickets that will get you in the "hot pit" area.

I'm there. Been going since 1983.

Get the four day super ticket or something called like that. It's $85 and you can go pretty much everywhere.

Tentative forecast is good, although rain is possible during the week.
